Final character design for Mystic Assassin

I recently bought Hai Phan’s Character Art for Games (here). He’s a legend and has been working on Blizzard’s Overwatch. I was really looking for a pro to walk me through the many technical steps of bringing a character into a game and this definitely went over everything I was hoping it would. The main things I was looking for was a good workflow for retopology, normals and texturing. I also learned a lot from his sculpting techniques and general theory for a professional quality model.

I’m ready to put what I’ve learned into action so have spent some time polishing the character design for the main player. I decided to mix up the color scheme from the previous purple and teal look. I’ve gone with a magenta which really makes it pop. I also finalized the symbols on the outfit and am really happy with the final designs.

So here’s the character that I’m going to get on with sculpting and hopefully turning into an awesome high quality game asset:
